Acupuncture/Dry Needling

Dry Needling or Biomedical Acupuncture is a technique were thin needles are used in the muscles near areas of trigger points. The aim of Dry Needling is to achieve a local twitch response to release muscle tension and pain. Dry needling is an effective treatment for chronic pain. Research supports that dry needling improves pain control, reduces muscle tension, normalizes nerve firing, and facilitates return to active lifestyle. Dry Needling is now available here in Kansas City at KC North Spine & Joint Center.
